eVolve_Feature
The eVolve_Feature parameter is used to connect Revit families to specific features within the EVOLVE plugin. When a feature is executed, it programmatically searches for this parameter and validates its value to determine compatibility.
If a single family supports multiple features, multiple values can be included in the parameter, separated by a semicolon (;).
Supported EVOLVE Features and Values:
Hanger Placement – Trapeze Tab
- Values:
Trapeze, Hanger, Supports - Result: Makes the family available for selection in the Trapeze tab of the Hanger Placement tool.
Hanger Placement – Trapeze Tab (Automatic Tier Selection)
- Value:
#_Tier(e.g.,1_Tier,2_Tier) - Result: Enables the tool to automatically match the family type with the correct number of tiers required in the model, allowing for mixed-tier placement in a single execution.
Hanger Placement – Single Tab
- Values:
Single Hanger, Minerallac - Result: Makes the family available for selection in the Single tab of the Hanger Placement tool.
Auto Place Straps
- Value:
Strap - Result: Makes the family available for use in the Auto Place Straps tool.
Place Pull Box
- Values:
Pull Box, Pullbox, Pull-Box Pull_Box - Result: Makes the family available for selection in the Place Pull Box tool
