Saddle Bends

eVolve Electrical contains and utilizes the most powerful, feature packed bend families in the industry. These families have been developed with the user in mind and allow for total customization. Becoming familiar with these commonly used parts and their functions can open up a world of options that can't be found elsewhere.

The most common way to add a saddle bend is to slice(SL) a coupling into a conduit and swap the coupling out for the appropriate bend family. Existing couplings can also be utilized this way. Make sure the necessary bend families are preloaded into the project.

Constraints: 3-Point Saddle

Convert- Activates the bend family parameters

Saddle Height- Height of saddle to clear obstacles

Use Custom Angle- Check to override the default bend angle

Angle Override- Manually enter a custom bend angle

Use Nose Minimum Length-The minimum possible nose length, based on bender settings.

Set Nose Length- Manually sets the length of the nose. (Use_Nose_Minimum_Length must be unchecked)

Tail Remnant Length- Uses the balance of the remaining conduit for the tail end

Set Overall Bend Length- Check to activate the Overall Bend Length parameter

Overall Bend Length- Set the length of the bend

Rolling Saddle- Check to activate the Roll Parameters

Roll Left/Right- Check to Roll the bend to the left or right

Roll Distance- Enter the distance to roll the bend. (Saddle Height will be maintained)

Add Coupling 1 & 2- Check to add a coupling to End 1 (green end) and/or End 2.

Constraints: 4-Point Saddle, Standard & 2-Piece

Convert- Activates the bend family parameters

2_Piece_Bend(in 2-piece fam only)- convert the family to a 2-piece saddle.

Saddle Height- Height of saddle to clear obstacles

Saddle Length- Length of the top flat portion of the saddle.

Type Properties: Saddle Bends

Use overall Length in BOM-eVolve length gets reported but can use overall length instead of max conduit length for only the length of the bend

Max Conduit Length- Set max conduit stick length. Default is standard 10' sections.

BOMs & Legends

In the eVolve Template, each bend family has its own Legend and BOM for fast and easy access to information.
